Unfortunately in Ontario, Chiropodists are regulated to prescribe medication based on a drug list and as new drug medications come out, it takes time to update the Chiropody drug list. There may be certain types of medication that your foot specialist may not be able to prescribe which will require you to visit your primary healthcare practitioner or walk-in clinic.
